YUNASKO was selected to participate in invest forum at EXPO-2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan

30 projects from around the world, 5 projects from Ukraine among them, were selected for participation in the invest-forum in the framework of EXPO-2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan in August 2017.  Yunasko project was one of five selected, and in a short pitch we presented two of our technologies: (a) carbon-carbon supercapacitors demonstrating the highest power capability and efficiency, and (b) hybrid technology that provides by far the largest energy than other hybrids (35 Wh/kg against 12 Wh/kg), and also demonstrates a quick charge rate – it can be fully charged within 3 min. A few promising contacts were established during the forum.

YUNASKO participated in the Workshop Graphene-enhanced supercapacitors

On July 4th 2017 YUNASKO participated in the Workshop Graphene-enhanced supercapacitors: Application perspectives within forklifts, which took place at The Squaire in Frankfurt.

The workshop was organised by the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in context of the 'Graphene Flagship' (https://graphene-flagship.eu) and the 'Graphene Technology & Innovation Roadmap’. The aim of the workshop was to explore market potentials and demands for selected applications that promise highest competitive advantages for the European economy. The workshop analysed the potential for a future value chain comprising graphene production for advanced supercapacitors to power forklifts.

Key topics included:
• Energy supply of forklifts: What is the state-of-the-art? What are key parameters for the development of alternative technologies? What are desires and requests to enable competitive advantages?
• Supercapacitors: What is the current state-of-the-art? Can graphene implementation enhance their performance? On what extent? On what timescale? At what cost?
• Graphene: What are the specific material properties required for supercapacitors? What are appropriate manufacturing techniques promising sufficient material quality and production volume?

The discussion appeared to be productive. In an open discussion, leading research and industry experts representing all relevant European stakeholder groups along the innovation chain evaluated the technological and economic opportunities and challenges. More official workshop results will be published by Fraunhofer ISI soon.

YUNASKO has participated in “Power our Future 2017”

In July 2-5 the 3rd International Forum on Progress and Trends in Battery and Capacitor Technologies “Power our Future 2017” took place in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain (see: pof17.cicenergigune.com).

Dr. Yurii Maletin, Chief Scientist of YUNASKO presented our most recent achievements in high power and high temperature supercapacitors as well as in hybrid technology. An independent expertise does confirm the YUNASKO technology to hurdle the challenging barriers in supercapacitor technology: the power density close to 90 kW/kg, the upper temperature limit up to 110 deg.C, and the energy density of about 35 Wh/kg.
